An Unfinished Life (DVD, PAL, Region 2)
An Unfinished Life is a 2005 drama directed by Lasse Hallström, featuring an impressive cast led by Robert Redford, Jennifer Lopez and Morgan Freeman.
Redford stars as Einar Gilkyson, a hardened Wyoming rancher whose life has been shaped by grief and the death of his son. He lives a quiet, isolated existence while caring for his longtime friend Mitch (Morgan Freeman), who is recovering from a serious injury. Einar's carefully controlled world is disrupted when his estranged daughter-in-law Jean (Jennifer Lopez) unexpectedly arrives at the ranch with her young daughter.
Their arrival forces old wounds and unresolved feelings back to the surface. As the characters gradually confront grief, resentment and difficult family history, the story develops into an emotional drama about forgiveness, responsibility and the possibility of rebuilding damaged relationships.
