Hoofdpiet and Weerpiet are travelling with Sinterklaas and the other Pieten when their journey runs into trouble. When thick fog causes problems for the steamboat, they decide to continue their journey overland. Getting there in time for the Sinterklaas celebrations proves anything but easy. Testpiet and Hoofdpiet do not always see eye to eye, while Wegwijspiet and Chefpiet have problems of their own to solve. The Pieten will need to work together if they want everything to turn out well.
