Doomsday (2008) (DVD, PAL, Region 2)
Doomsday (2008) is an explosive post-apocalyptic action thriller written and directed by Neil Marshall, starring Rhona Mitra, Bob Hoskins, Malcolm McDowell and Adrian Lester.
After a deadly virus devastates Scotland, the British government seals off the infected population behind a heavily guarded wall. Thirty years later, the virus resurfaces in London, forcing the authorities to send an elite team led by Major Eden Sinclair into the quarantined wasteland to find a possible cure.
Facing ruthless survivors, violent gangs and a society transformed by decades of isolation, Sinclair must fight her way through a brutal world where survival is everything.
Combining intense action, science fiction and horror, Doomsday delivers a fast-paced dystopian adventure inspired by classic post-apocalyptic cinema.
