Love & a .45 (VHS, PAL)
Love & a .45 is a fast-moving 1990s crime-action road movie starring Gil Bellows, Renée Zellweger and Rory Cochrane, with supporting appearances by Jeffrey Combs and Jace Alexander. Written and directed by C.M. Talkington, the film mixes crime, dark humour, romance and violent action in a distinctly independent 1990s style.
Gil Bellows stars as Watty Watts, an unpredictable young criminal on the run from the law, while Renée Zellweger plays his girlfriend Starlene. After a robbery goes badly wrong, the pair find themselves caught in an increasingly dangerous flight across the country, pursued by both the police and ruthless criminals. Their escape develops into an offbeat road adventure centred on love, loyalty and survival.
