Quicksilver Highway (VHS, PAL, Dutch Edition)
Quicksilver Highway is a dark supernatural horror anthology directed by Mick Garris, the filmmaker behind adaptations including Sleepwalkers, The Stand and The Shining. The film brings together stories from two major names in horror fiction: Stephen King and Clive Barker.
Christopher Lloyd plays the mysterious travelling storyteller Aaron Quicksilver, who introduces two unsettling tales. One concerns a travelling salesman whose encounter with a strange pair of novelty teeth develops into something far more sinister, while the other explores a bizarre world in which human hands begin to take on a disturbing life of their own.
The cast includes Christopher Lloyd, Matt Frewer, Raphael Sbarge, Jennifer Garner and Silas Weir Mitchell. Its combination of Stephen King and Clive Barker material makes this an interesting piece of late-1990s horror anthology history.
