Directors Cuts: Chiller – DCD006 is a specialist production-music CD devoted to horror, suspense and thriller scoring. The wonderfully dramatic packaging describes the collection as “Horrifying Prime-Evil Harbingers of Doom,” with music designed for sinister, supernatural and psychologically tense film and television scenes.
The album features an impressive group of film and television composers, including Klaus Badelt, Geoff Zanelli, Gavin Greenaway, Henning Lohner, Jim Dooley, Jeff Rona and Patrick Cassidy. The 20 principal compositions range from cinematic horror and dark orchestral suspense to creepy nursery-music and supernatural themes, with an additional 20 short 30-second versions provided for production use.
This copy retains the distinctive Directors Cuts clapperboard-shaped hinged case together with the original DCD006 disc. An unusual physical production-library release and an interesting collectible for horror soundtrack, film-score, production-music and Media Ventures enthusiasts.
