Antonio Banderas stars as Marco Vallez, a quiet and sincere journalist. Assigned to interview the world-famous circus performer Ana Mentzel, known as “Giuditta” and played by Francesca Neri, Marco finds himself completely captivated by her beauty, intelligence, and charm.
In a short time, Marco and Giuditta fall passionately in love, and Marco begins dreaming of leaving behind his life as a reporter to travel the world with her. But just as he’s about to embark on a new life, tragedy strikes.
Giuditta is brutally attacked and raped by three men. Wounded and fueled by vengeance, Marco becomes a relentless hunter, determined to track down the perpetrators and make them pay.
