Sinterklaas & Pakjesboot 13 (DVD, Region 2, PAL)
Sinterklaas & Pakjesboot 13 is a Dutch children's adventure centred around Sinterklaas and his Pieten as they make their annual journey to the Netherlands.
This year, Sinterklaas and his Pieten are not travelling aboard their familiar old steamship. Instead, they set sail aboard the brand-new Pakjesboot 13, a modern vessel loaded with presents, chocolate letters and pepernoten.
During the night, while they are out at sea, things go terribly wrong. The heavily loaded Pakjesboot begins to tilt and eventually sinks, leaving Sinterklaas and his Pieten stranded on an uninhabited island.
With December 5 rapidly approaching, they must find a way off the island and continue their journey to the Netherlands. Will Sinterklaas and his Pieten manage to arrive in time and save the traditional Sinterklaas celebrations?
The film features familiar characters including Sinterklaas, Wegwijspiet, Computerpiet, Pientere Piet and Chefpiet, combining a maritime adventure with traditional Dutch Sinterklaas entertainment.
