Star Wars Trilogy: Episodes IV–VI + Bonus Disc (4-DVD Box Set, PAL, Region 2)
The legendary original Star Wars trilogy is brought together in this substantial 4-disc DVD box set, containing Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, and a dedicated Star Wars Trilogy Bonus Disc.
Beginning with Luke Skywalker's discovery of a conflict far beyond his quiet life on Tatooine, the trilogy follows Luke, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2 as they become central figures in the Rebel Alliance's struggle against the Galactic Empire and Darth Vader. The three films form one of cinema's most influential science-fiction adventures, featuring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, with the celebrated musical scores of John Williams.
This 2004 Lucasfilm / 20th Century Fox DVD release presents the three films digitally remastered for improved picture and sound, with THX mastering and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround EX. The front sticker identifies this as a 4-disc set containing the three remastered classic films plus an additional disc with more than four hours of bonus material.
The bonus DVD adds extensive material exploring the creation and legacy of the original trilogy, making this a particularly comprehensive DVD edition for Star Wars fans.
This is the Benelux-market edition, identifiable by the bilingual Dutch/French packaging and disc artwork. All four original DVDs are present. The photographed playing surfaces appear generally clean with only light marks visible. The outer cardboard box shows noticeable storage and handling wear, including surface scratches/scuffs and edge/corner wear, so the overall set is best described as Good condition rather than Very Good. No playback testing is implied.
