Far Cry 3 for the Microsoft Xbox 360 is an open-world first-person shooter from Ubisoft, set on a dangerous tropical island controlled by pirates and other hostile forces.
Players take the role of Jason Brody, who becomes stranded on the island after a trip goes disastrously wrong. To survive and rescue his friends, Jason must explore the island, complete missions, capture enemy outposts, hunt wildlife, craft useful equipment and develop new combat abilities.
The game combines first-person gunplay with stealth, exploration and open-world gameplay. Players can approach enemy positions in different ways, using firearms, stealth takedowns, vehicles and the surrounding environment.
In addition to the main single-player campaign, Far Cry 3 features a separate cooperative campaign supporting 2-player split-screen and up to 4 players online, as well as competitive multiplayer modes.
