DVD Description – Ride With the Devil (1999)
Directed by Ang Lee and starring Tobey Maguire, Skeet Ulrich, Jeffrey Wright, and Jewel, Ride With the Devil is a gritty Civil War drama that follows a group of friends who join a notorious guerrilla unit known as the "Bushwhackers." As the group carries out deadly raids against Union forces, internal conflict and personal transformations begin to reshape their mission.
Caught in the violence is Jake (Maguire), whose loyalty is tested when he falls in love with Sue Lee (Jewel), a young war widow seeking peace. The film explores themes of loyalty, identity, and survival during one of America’s bloodiest conflicts.
