Valentine (VHS, PAL, Dutch Edition)
Valentine is a 2001 slasher horror film directed by Jamie Blanks, featuring Denise Richards, David Boreanaz, Marley Shelton, Jessica Capshaw and Katherine Heigl.
Years after an awkward schoolboy named Jeremy Melton is rejected and humiliated at a Valentine's Day dance, a group of former classmates begin receiving disturbing Valentine's cards. What initially appears to be a cruel joke soon becomes far more sinister when a masked killer begins targeting them. As Valentine's Day approaches, old memories, romantic tensions and suspicions combine in an increasingly dangerous game of revenge.
With its distinctive Cupid-mask killer, Valentine's Day setting and blend of mystery and slasher-horror elements, Valentine is characteristic of the wave of stylish teen-oriented horror films released around the turn of the millennium.
