Vivaldi – Les Quatre Saisons – Piero Toso, I Solisti Veneti, Claudio Scimone (Vinyl LP, Erato STU 70679)
Discover one of the most celebrated masterpieces of Baroque classical music with Antonio Vivaldi – Les Quatre Saisons (The Four Seasons), performed by renowned Italian violinist Piero Toso and the chamber orchestra I Solisti Veneti, conducted by Claudio Scimone.
Released on the prestigious French classical record label Erato, catalogue number STU 70679, this vintage 12-inch vinyl LP presents Vivaldi's four famous violin concertos, each portraying a different season of the year through expressive melodies, dramatic contrasts and vivid musical storytelling.
Originally composed in the early 18th century, The Four Seasons remains among the most recognisable and influential works in classical music. From the cheerful birdsong of spring and the thunderstorms of summer to the festive harvest atmosphere of autumn and the icy winds of winter, Vivaldi's compositions capture the beauty and changing moods of nature.
Piero Toso's violin performance is accompanied by I Solisti Veneti, an Italian chamber orchestra established by Claudio Scimone and internationally recognised for its interpretations of Baroque music.
