Benji the Hunted (VHS, PAL)
Benji the Hunted is a 1987 Walt Disney family adventure directed by Joe Camp and starring the famous canine hero Benji. After a severe storm causes the boat carrying Benji and his owner to capsize, Benji becomes separated from his owner and finds himself alone in the wilderness.
While a search is launched to find the missing dog, Benji encounters four orphaned cougar cubs whose mother has been killed by a hunter. Rather than simply searching for his own way home, Benji takes responsibility for the vulnerable cubs and attempts to protect them from the many dangers of the wilderness.
The film combines beautiful wilderness scenery with animal adventure, suspense and touching family-friendly storytelling. Much of the story is carried by Benji and the other animals, making it a distinctive entry in the long-running Benji series.
