Killers (DVD, PAL, Region 2)
Killers (1996) is an intense American crime-action thriller directed by Mike Mendez and starring Dave Larsen and David Gunn.
Odessa and Kyle James appear to be ordinary young men, but behind their seemingly normal lives lies a terrifying secret. Convicted of multiple brutal murders and sentenced to death, the brothers make a violent escape from prison, triggering a nationwide manhunt.
When they seek refuge in a small town and encounter the Ryan family, a dangerous psychological confrontation begins. As tensions rise, the boundaries between victim and criminal become increasingly blurred in this dark, unpredictable thriller.
Combining violent action, psychological suspense and disturbing black humour, Killers delivers a gritty example of 1990s independent American genre cinema.
