Lambchop – Is a Woman is the acclaimed 2002 studio album from the Nashville-based collective led by singer-songwriter Kurt Wagner. Released through City Slang and Virgin, the album presents Lambchop's distinctive, understated combination of alternative country, indie rock, soul, jazz and orchestral pop influences.
The recording is notably restrained and atmospheric, built around Wagner's intimate vocals with piano, guitar, bass, percussion and carefully arranged ensemble instrumentation. The album was recorded in Nashville during 2001 and produced by Mark Nevers and Kurt Wagner.
