Milva and Vangelis – A Distinctive Musical Collaboration
One of the most interesting aspects of Ich hab’ keine Angst is its connection to Vangelis, the internationally renowned composer celebrated for his pioneering electronic music and influential film soundtracks.
Several songs on the album are German-language adaptations of earlier Vangelis compositions, with lyrics by Thomas Woitkewitsch.
Highlights include:
Ich hab’ keine Angst (To the Unknown Man) – A dramatic interpretation of Vangelis' instrumental composition.
Sie sind noch jung (La Petite Fille de la Mer) – A melodic adaptation of one of Vangelis' atmospheric works.
Christine (Athènes ma ville) – An expressive, emotionally rich performance.
Kennst du das auch? (It's Five O'Clock) – A German-language interpretation associated with the early musical work of Vangelis.
Er (So Long Ago So Clear) – Based on the composition by Vangelis and Jon Anderson.
The album offers an interesting combination of Milva's European chanson tradition and Vangelis' distinctive musical approach.
