Driver Not Included is the 1995 debut full-length album from New York band Orange 9mm, and a strong example of the heavy alternative sound that developed around the American hardcore scene during the mid-1990s. The record combines hardcore intensity with alternative metal, funk-influenced grooves and elements that would later commonly be associated with rap metal.
The album features Chaka Malik on vocals, Chris Traynor on guitar, Davide Gentile on bass and Matthew Cross on drums. It was produced by Dave Jerden, with recording taking place at Eldorado Recording Studios in Los Angeles and Right Track Recording Studios in New York.
Across its 12 tracks, Driver Not Included delivers a tight mixture of distorted guitar riffs, muscular bass and drums, groove-heavy rhythms and Malik's forceful vocal delivery.
